Organic Tea, beyond the cup

 

Organic Tea Smoothie

Ingredients

  • Tea: Hippocrateas Wildflowers Tea (American Beautea)

  • Yogurt: Blueberry or Black Cherry organic Yogurt (rBGH free)

  • Cranberry Juice  (unsweetened)

  • Kombucha, any flavor will do, Bilberry is seen here

  • Fresh herbs, basil, mint, lavender

 

Directions

1. Brew tea and let cool (or make night before and refrigerate)

2. Mix together:

     3  oz tea,

     2  oz kombucha,

     6 oz yogurt (optional) 

     2 oz cranberry juice

3. Sprinkle with fresh herbs and serve

 

Dairy-Free Smoothie

Follow directions above except exclude yogurt,

and increase amounts:

4 oz tea

3 oz kombucha

2 oz cranberry juice

sprinkle with fresh herbs 

 

Brewing Hippocrateas:

Using a French Press or Mason Jar,

Place 1 heaping tablespoon dry tea mixture into the French Press.

Add hot water (use good filtered non-chlorine, non-fluoride water)

Let steep 8-10 minutes

Then strain into cups and drink. 

To make iced tea or let cool, strain and pour into another device (glass, stainless steel, or

food-grade ceramic), and let sit until cool or refrigerate overnight.

 

 

 

Organic Tea Soup

This is refreshing cold soup to enjoy on a hot day. 

Ingredients

  • Tea: Hippocrateas Gold Tea (bursting with turmeric)

  • Kombucha, Mango flavored

  • Blueberries or any fresh organic berries you have

  • Fresh herbs, basil, mint, lavender...anthing you have on hand

 

Directions

1. Brew tea and let cool (or make night before and refrigerate)

2. Mix together:

     3  oz tea,

     3  oz kombucha

     Add berries and herbs

3. Pour into a bowl and Enjoy!
